why skin:

When I moved back to LA 10 years ago I worked at the front desk of a skin care salon. My skin started erupting and no one really took the time to figure out why and educate me on how to fix it. Products were thrown at me, but not explained, treatments were done with no post care instructions. I decided to go to school to fully learn skin care. In school I found my passion for treating skin correctly, educating and helping people look and feel better. Through the years I have also developed a love for hair removal. Growing up the hairy beast that I am, I’m aware of the embarrassment unwanted hair can cause. I learned to remove it as quickly and painlessly as possible. I feel very blessed to have found a career in something I love so much: treating skin, removing hair, and working in such an amazing inspirational & creative environment.

I am not a big fan of waxing. It always seems to make body parts look angry, irritated and sad, which in turns makes me angry, irritated and sad. But it was time for a trip to Maui which meant it was also time to tame my fur. Stephanie was fun, funny and most importantly QUICK! I was in at 12:01 and out at 12:10. Insane. And nothing was angry- nothing was irritated – and nothing was sad! Quite the opposite – I’m now a Stephanie devotee. Dooooo it!
And finally – I love Forme’s new space on Main.
